Osceola, Missouri Speed Traps

The speed trap is generally for Northbound Traffic. A cop sets on the east side of the highway (on a side road) hidden at the bottom of a large hill right before the lake.

There is a road across from the hospital that the cop sits down on off the road and you don’t know that he is there until you are right there and it is too late!

Four cars traveling at the same speed, the only car ticketed was a red 1997 pontiac gran prix with Arkansas tags. No car passed any other car, yet the speed cited was 82 in a 60 zone. Officer immediately returned to Osceola without checking any other traffic. City clerk sent a letter saying a guilty plea and $200.00 fine would be accepted. No provision was make to plead not guilty.
