Pevely, Missouri Speed Traps
I55 northbound, north of 61/67
Caught at 10 over. I set the cruise at +7 . The speedo and the GPS agree. When I do this I do not have to worry about cops. Either this was down hill or their equipment is off. My last ticket was 18 years ago. Wisconsin does not have municipalities like Pevely that camp out on the interstates to get revenue. I tried to pay it right away and the Pevely court does not answer the phone which forces you to pay an addition $12 convenience fee on a website that does not work the same on different computers. Next time I plan a trip I will go around MO and spend my hotel, food and fuel money elsewhere.

US Highway 61/67 near Pevely Flea Market
One cop sits along 61/67 almost every other night in a couple of spots along this area. First is at Dunns parking lot, next is the dark parking lot at the flea market, then at the bottom of the hill past the flea market by the church, and finally at the car wash in a bay across from the church. I come home from work at about 7:30pm and always see them shooting radar. Also watch out down by Pevely Raceway. They always pull people over in a Black Charger that you can’t see at night.Good Luck
Interstate 55
Going south on I-55 just before the exit for Pevely….a SUV is parked along side the road, heading slightly north, as if broken down. The police have a radar gun pointed north. As you round the curve, there are 4 or 5 police cars ready to come after you.
State Highway 61/67 near State Highway Z
As your heading south on 61/67 you approach a hill at the glass plant. The speed goes from 50 to 45 at the top of the hill at the curve. As soon as you start down the hill the police are way ahead on the left sitting in the car facing you. He pulls out as soon as you start your downhill approach. I’ve seen him there several times and saw no radar. I got stopped for going 55 and I know I wasn’t because I was applying my brakes and watching my speedometer.
