Las Vegas, Nevada Speed Traps
Twain Ave. between Nellis and Cabana
A motorcycle cop in brown sits in the shade blending in with the “weeds”.
Depending on the time of day he will move to one side of the street to the other. Speed limit is 25 mph I smile at him as I pass him, I can seem his sneer at me in my rear view mirror. VERY SNEAKY!
Arville St between Tropicana and Flamingo
Motorcycle cop(s) sit under a tree in a driveway across from the school bus depot… they’re almost always there in the late afternoons (3pm – 6pm) around the end of the month.
Gowan/ Rainbow
There are a number of speed traps at all hours of the day on Gowan, from Jones blvd. going west all the way up to Buffalo. 25 mph. is posted, they will get you for 5 mph. over. Especially by the childrens memorial park!
All Freeways and City streets LV & Henderson
All freeways and city streets in LV, Henderson, Boulder City have numerous unmarked vehicles that are targeting speeders. The cars have no markings to be aware of, they come in all sizes and makes and the police lights are hidden inside front grill and tail lights. Everyday traveling these freeways and roads I have seen many people pulled over receiving tickets. Beware motorists!
Lake Meade between 215 and Sun City Boulevard
Two motorcycle cops getting anyone over the posted 35 MPH limit. It’s all downhill and easy to exceed the limit.
