July 2007 the speed limit was changed from 35mph to 25mph for the last quarter mile of Eastbound Farm Road to Jones. Motorcycle cops sit on a cultisac out of site and radar.
Durango Drive near Summerlin Parkway
Durango Dr, North of Summerlin Parkway to Vegas Drive. 35 MPH, Motorcycle units hide on East side between parked cars, and apartment complex entrance.
Valley Road near Tropical Road
The police hide on the street just before the Jasmine Ranch condos. It’s hard to see them, then they’ve already caught you speeding. It’s a 25mph and its hard to go that slow.

Pavilion Center Drive near Alta Drive
Motorcycle regularly just at corner of Palo Brea Drive or Maryville Avenue (a short block apart) with posted speed below prevailing speeds for a through street, which it is, between Alta Drive and Charleston Boulevard.
Eastern Avenue near Desert Inn Boulevard
They park in a business parking lot left side of Desert Inn on Eastern. They have cop cars, motorcyclists, and a man in an SUV who radios officers near this location and the cops whip out into to traffic to catch the speeder. Insane but tactful. The speed limit is thirty-five – reasonable but everyone speeds there.
