Las Vegas, Nevada Speed Traps
Traveling east on Viking at Tudor, the school zone.
Going east, bushes at road bend obscure 15 mph school zone
Amigo between Windmill and Robindale
The motorcycle cop parks his bike on the sidewalk very close to the bushes between the hours of 1:30pm and 4:30 pm every weekday. Be careful! ( I thought parking on the sidewalk was illegal?)
I-215 Westbound at Windmill
55MPH construction zone at this location. METRO Airport Cop nailed me late at night. He told me he wouldn’t start pulling people over unless they were going 25+ over, and he was doing plenty of “business”. He was professional, and gave me a little break by writing me only 15 over, but it’s double fines in constructions zones. OUCH! I was going 85, so I shouldn’t complain too much.
SAHARA BLVD JUST BEFORE LAS VEGAS BLVD
AS I CAME OVER THE BRIDGE HE WAS WAITING ON THE LITTLE STREET AT THE BOTTOM. I WAS EXPLAINED THAT THEY ARE OUT THERE ALL DAY LONG JUST GIVING OUT TICKETS TO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE. (really?) BUT NICE COP ANYWAYS. WROTE TICKET FAST SO I COULD STILL GET TO WORK ON TIME. ( not speeding at all though)
215 – West side from Cheyenne to Russel
Any overpass is a good spot to shoot Radar or Laser from. Heavily hit in the morning.
Lake Meade and Far Hills overpasses are the favorites spots, as these exits have a little less traffic and are easier for the PoPo to hop down from.
