Alton, New Hampshire Speed Traps
State Route 11 and 28 near alton circle Loop
They use instant on radar. which signlas your radar detector as soon as they see you and you see them. so it doesnt give much time to slow down.
I have seen many cops (driving fast, way over the speed limit) on rt 11 between rochester and alton, and then from alton to wolfeboro on RT 28 .
Start crying and they might give you a warning. speed limits here should be 85. not 55.
State Route 28 near State Route 11
Alton is kind of a "Hub" as Rt. 28 and Rt. 11 both meet and travel through this town. If you’re traveling north from the seacost area of New Hampshire and points south, you HAVE to travel through Alton to get to the Lakes and Bike Week in Laconia. The Town Police, the State Police and the Highway Patrol ALL enforce the traffic laws in that town! It seems the Town cops might be more "agreeable" than the State Cops as long as you don’t tick them off. Best to just travel the limit through this town. THEY USE PLANES IN THE SUMMER!
