Boscawen, New Hampshire Speed Traps
Park And Ride on Rt 4
At night the police sit in the park and ride just across the river from exit 17 at night and observe traffic. It is in a 35 zone with traffic slowing down from 45mph heading north and from 50mph for traffic heading south. The police often have their headlights pointed across the street so you can see that they are there. I have also seen the State Police and even the Concord PD parked here.
Before the County Home, Just Past the County Prison
Off to the right, if you’re driving north towards Franklin, there is a hill on U.S. Hwy. 3 (Daniel Webster Hwy.). They wait in the parking area just after the prison. It is a blind spot as you pass the prison on your left your speed is 35 in this area. The issue is you’re going down a hill past the prison and at the bottom of the hill it changes to 50. By the time you hit the bottom of the hill the boys are waiting for you. They let you go past them; then they pull out and follow you; just before the Franklin line they turn the blues on.
State Route 3 North near After 93N Exit 17
Overly enforcing; posted limits difficult to maintain. After the lights where you enter onto Route 3N from Exit 17 on Route 93 the limit of 35 is not posted for several hundred feet. Before then the limit varies from 45 mph to 50 mph to 35 mph over about a 3/4-mile distance, which is maddenikng. But you are going 50 mph for a good stretch but then suddenly you have to slow from 50 to 35 very quickly, while going downhill, in anticipation of the lights. If you go through the lights the limit is not posted for a few hundred feet and you are likely going 45 mph. Suddenly the limit is 35 mph and you get caught.
