Lincoln, New Hampshire Speed Traps
“Connector Rd” between Main St and Rt 3
A short road mostly for through traffic between two main roads. Posted speed is 30 mph.
Springbrook Rd & Overlook Rd
112 eastbound, where 30 mph becomes 40 mph. Decoy SUV on hill to scare westbound traffic into slowing down. Perhaps at times it’s not a decoy?
Interstate 93 near Exit Number 34A
Franconia Notch State Park — interstate 93’s speed limit is 65, but as it goes into the park it becomes 45 (i’m uncertain whether this is clearly marked at the entrance to the park.) heading north, as you come up over a hill there’s a trooper waiting for you.
NH laws state that if the limit is 55 or less and you’re going 26+ over the limit (which i was,) then you MUST appear in court. i’m not a NH resident, so the trooper *did me a favor* by only charging me with going 21 – 25 mph over… which is $200 and payable my mail.
i’m sure this is a *favor* they grant to many visitors as they pass through this 7.5 mile stretch of interstate 93. it’s beautiful , so be sure and slow down to enjoy the scenery and save your money.
State Route 3
The section of Rte 3 between Lincoln and North Woodstock has an unrealistically low speed limit. There are a few businesses but a lot of it is wooded. It is heavily patrolled and there are also numerous pull-offs for the cops to park in.
Interstate 93 South near Exit Number 34A
Just as you come out of the Franconia notch (*SL45)which is one lane which turns into 2 the SL stays 45 going down a long downhill curve. The State troopers like to hide just past a sign thats on a curve. They also sit further down closer to exit 33 on a similar curve but SL is 65 by that point.
