Manchester, New Hampshire Speed Traps
S. Willow Street
Officer sits in the parking lot of D’Angelo’s near the Shaw’s plaza in the early morning hours checking speeds and inspection/registration stickers. Got nailed myself recently for a violation and have seen the same officer there repeatedly since. EAGLE EYE!
Queen City Avenue near Elm Street
They have several locations between South Willow Street and Second Street; typically in the parking lot on the right as you turn from S. Willow onto Queen City Ave, at the Sunoco/JacPac area on the right just before the bridge, and after the bridge, either in the Hess station on the right or in the empty lot directly across the street from Hess.
Wellington Road near US Highway 93
In the raised median on Wellington Avenue between Interstate 93 and Edward J Roy Drive (where the Dartmouth Hitchcock location is) a Manchester police car will sit to pullover speeders.
The speed limit on Wellington Avenue is 30 MPH. It is rarely ever done by motorists, but it is 30 MPH.
Interstate 93 North near State Route 101 East
Just after you pass the exit for Rt. 101 East to the seacoast there is a grassy hill on the left that the State Troopers drive up onto and face towards the oncoming traffic and you can’t see them until you’re clocked.
Bridge Street near Main St. Crossing
Heading westbound from Elm St on Bridge, one can expect to find Manchester’s finest at the end of the bridge as you approach the West Side. They will be pulled into a drive on the righthand side of the road with lights off and speed sensing device pointed east toward Elm.
Usually from 8pm on is fair game to them.
