New London, New Hampshire Speed Traps
Rt. 11(Andover Road) near Main St
Obey posted speed limit signs! You will get pulled over! Slow down!
Northbound I-89 Between Exits 11 and 12
This is an Aerial speed trap. There are white painted markings on the pavement every tenth of a mile for a 1 mile stretch. They use the markings to time your speed from the air, then the State Police are set up just around the bend. These traps are set up at different locations along the interstate so if you see the white painted markings on the road and the skies are clear, watch your speed. This location is also a well known spot where the State Police park in the center “State Vehicle turn around” and ticket speeders on a daily basis.
Rt. 11(Andover Road) near Main St.
Just past the Flying Goose Pub heading towards Andover, the police park in a hidden driveway and ticket people mostly in the late afternoon during rush hour on weekdays. The driveway belongs to relatives of Town Police Officers so they use it to hide out off the road. The driveway is on the left at a farm house with barn and green pasture. I will not name it but there is a farm sign in front of the property.
Route 11, Andover Road past Main St.
Located just past The Flying Goose Pub heading toward Andover. Police set up in a driveway hidden from the road and stop people around rush hour times weekly.

The speed limit is 35/40 mph and it’s very hard to maintain that speed without braking hard. Most people find themselves coasting to 50+ mph. The New London police are very often sitting in peoples’ driveways waiting to ticket drivers speeding down the hill away from the town. They are often in the blue unmarked Ford Taurus.
