New London, New Hampshire Speed Traps
Rte 11E at Rowell Hill Road
Recent road construction has reduced the lanes from two to oneas you’re heading east from I-89. As you begin the incline approaching Rowell Hill Rd the speed limit is 35, and it is being enforced.
State Highway 11 near Exit Number Interstate 89, exit 11
Leaving Interstate 89 at exit 11 onto NH 11 northeast bound, speed limit is 35 MPH, but rises to 50 MPH in less than 300 yards. NH 11 is one lane each direction. In under 500 yards speed limit drops to 35 MPH. Just before the speed limit drop, NH 11 widens to 2 lanes northeast to allow passing on uphill which starts here. In the process of passing slower moving traffic, the 35 MPH speed limit is generally exceeded. Police position themselves with radar guns on Rowell Hill Rd. near top of hill. They just walk out into travel lanes and flag speeders to stop. Continuing NE on NH 11, speed limit rises to 40 MPH in under 1/2 mile and then to 55 MPH.
State Highway 37926 near West of New London
Just off I-89 exit going into the town of New London, the speed limit is 50 mph for about 3 miles, then goes down quickly upon entering a business district, they nab a lot of people there. Both local PD and State Police.
Interstate 89 near Exit Number 10-12A
They run radar on the median, especially right before Exit 11 headed North. Also just before 12A. Be very careful just before Exit 11 to 21A. If you travel this strech to any degree, you will get caught.
