Northwood, New Hampshire Speed Traps
US 202/NH 9 at Tough Tymes Grille & Pub
Northwood cruisers sit in dirt pulloff across from the restaurant. Regardless of which direction you are heading, the speed limit drops from 40 to 35 followed by a corner…so by the time you see the cruiser you’re toast. They can be there any time of the day, but most frequently during the morning commute (6-9 am).
State Route 43 near US Highway 4
At the base of the hill on Route 43 in Northwood. Coming from either direction (Route 4, or from 43 in Deerfield) there are steep hills that make it difficult to go the posted speed limit of 45. Police often sit at the base of the hills (in the valley) and routinely pull people over for doing more then 45 (the posted limit). Most times it is not even a good idea to coast down the hill at 50.
Route 4
Heading west on route 4, police will park in the Mobile station parking lot well back from the road. you dont see them tell you are right on the station. they also park in Hudsons resteraunt parking lot on Route 4. this one is usually done at night and the sit there with no lights on. be care full of this one, as one will sit in the lot and there is another car up the road. most of the time, the second car is parked headed east on Route 4. and is also hidden. they are within 100 to 200 yards of each other.
