Rye, New Hampshire Speed Traps

Police wait in parking lot of "old" police station just below the Town Hall, across from the cemetary. Either heading north or south, you won’t see them until they get you.

This trap is right near Jenness Beach in Rye. Cruisers hide in the parking lot of the Dunes Motel on the southbound side of the road. Coming north, the speed limit drops from 35 to 30 just before the trap. This trap is especially common in the winter when the roads are empty and speed limits seem too slow. Also, my radar detector often does not pick up this trap.
