Belmar, New Jersey Speed Traps

When coming from the Avon side of the bridge heading to Belmar the police sometimes sit in the Strollo’s ice cream parlor parking lot. The speed limit is 35 coming over thee bridge from Avon and drops to 25 at the other side of the bridge in Belmar after the light and is only 25 for a block or so before rising to 30 again. Be careful Belmar issues more than its share of traffic summonses at least 400/month in summer. The same goes for heading into Avon police are right across the bridge on the opposite side of the soccer field behind the 35mph sign and will stop u for doing 38.
