Berlin, New Jersey Speed Traps
So. Franklin Ave. Towards Sports Fields.
New 15mph Speed limit signs heading to the sports complex. Got stopped Sunday Morning @ 9:00am. Received a Obstructed View ticket.
On Jackson Road at Pine Ave.
Speed limit changes from 45mph to 35 mph, which is very easy to exceed.
Trap is located at vacant corner of intersection on near, left-hand side of road(SE side) when heading towards White Horse Pike in Berlin (northwestward) from Route 73. Be careful. This is a prolific stop.
You can judge the presence of the trap by noting the speed of the oncoming traffic.
On Jackson Road near White Horse Pike at Firehouse
Be careful when approaching the White Horse Pike (Rt. 30) while on Jackson Road. As you approach the WHP from a shallow angle one can see the to be merged traffic. Although there is a stop sign at the intersection of Jackson Rd and Rt 30, because one can see the approaching traffic and the natural tendency is to speed up, quickly stop and get ahead of the nearing traffic at the busy intersection, especially at rush hour; otherwise one might wait what seems like an inordinatley long time to get onto the pike as the pike traffic speeds up to prevent your getting ahead. Welcome to New Jersey.
Franklin Avenue between the W.H.P. and Berlin Clementon Road
Do not speed on this road, it is 25 mph and they sit in residents driveways. It is a short distance, but do not Speed!
Franklin Avenue near State Route 73
on Franklin Ave in West Berlin from the White Horse Pike (route 30) across to route 73. It is posted as 25MPH; completely rediculous speed limit for the road. I’ve been stopped for speeding on this road and written a speeding ticket for going 29MPH. This has happened to other people that I know as well. GO 25 ON THIS ROAD!
