East Hanover, New Jersey Speed Traps

Ridgedale is 4 lanes here and speeds are high. If you are heading towards route 10, as soon as it goes to one lane in each direction, SLOW DOWN. Police will be on your right, and they are not giving out warnings.

The posted limit changed from 35 to 45 within the past few years and nearly everyone speeds 10+ over because the road opens up to two lanes. Don’t be fooled. The cops sit with their radar and lasers in the driveways over the crest of the small hill. It tends to be the undercover Dodge Magnum.

Cops will sit in the Burger King parking lot at the corner of 10 and New Murray Road, waiting to nail speeders on Route 10 East. I have only seen him once (around 10:30 PM on a Thursday) but I would expect little leeway, as the town is pretty dead at night.
