Florham Park, New Jersey Speed Traps
Hanover Road (In front of Automatic Switch Company)
Police car will sit in the middle of the road facing North and catch you as you come south on Hanover Road.
Columbia Turnpike (entire town)
The fuzz likes to sit in driveways in the center of town, as well as in the median strips along Columbia Turnpike in the center of town and by the airport. They seem to run this trap at night quite a bit, but I have seen them during the day as well.
Ridgedale Avenue near Ridgedale Middle School
Unmarked dark grey Dodge Charger constantly seen pulling people over on Ridgedale Avenue near Ridgedale Middle School. Unsure of posted speed limit; could possibly be pulling people over if they exceed 25 mph when school is in session.
Brooklake Road near Burnside Avenue
For most of the way along Brooklake the speed limit is 35. It then abruptly drops 25, there is a hedge on the side of the road where the police camp out with a laser. It handheld and subject to movement so it can add 5 MPH to your speed. In all fairness the area is near a school, but there is no indication that it is a school zone, and the restriction is all of the time. It is also poorly marked and the speed drops with no visible change in the charactr of the road. If you miss the sign, the then nail you
Columbia Turnpike near James Street
Anyone who knows the Treasure Island / Norcrown Bank area in Florham Park, they know that either u will find 1 of 2 things there, a radar trailer or a police unit sittin right there waiting for someone to "Fly by" them headin either to Morristown or Livingston or the slick in"DUH"vidual may decide to take James Street and cut across to avoid any problems. (Not a smart move, if u know ur guilty fess up)
