Frenchtown, New Jersey Speed Traps
State Route 513
From Frenchtown, going up Route 513 about 1 mile up on the left there is either a local officer or a state trooper sitting there. They won’t think twice about stopping you, you will get a ticket! People have been flying through the area.
State Route 12 near Bowling Alley
On Route 12 in the parking lot of the Bowling alley, there is usually a State Trooper in the parking lot. This is the result of drivers flying up the hill trying to beat the merge at the top of the hill. The State Police have no problem giving out tickets! They have gotten people well over 80 mph! Very dangerous hill!
Milford Road
There is a speedtrap located BEHIND the Frenchtown elementary school on Milford rd too! It is 15 mph throughout this alleged "truck route"! It’s a illegal speedtrap that exists to make money for the town! Has anybody ever beat this trap please write in and let people know! It’s needs to come to an end!
State Route 619 near Frenchtown School
The speed limit on CR 619 (a-k-a Milford-Frenchtown Road) drops to 25 mph in Frenctown and then drops again to 15 in proximity of the grade school at the beginning and end of the school day.
Patrol cars park out of sight and aim radar north to trap southbound vehicles.
Highway 12
Eastbound at two locations; 1)Behind pizza/Drug Store shooting east in Back, and coming west. 2) Milemarker #2 (bottom of Hill) shootin’ bothways.
