Hi-Nella, New Jersey Speed Traps
E. Atlantic Avenue near Village Green Apartments
Cops park in the parking lot (the parking spot closes to the road) right next to the sign where the speed limit changes to 35mph and is usually sitting in his car waiting for some speeders. — I’d also like to note it is in between the signs that say "Police Use Radar"
Warwick Road near Sterling High School
Hi-Nella police are pretty aggressive with speed violations for such a small town. During the school season when Sterling HS is open, the speed limit is enforcable at 25 mph "when children are present." All other times it is 35. They usually sit at either the small auto shop next to Sterling HS or in the Hi-Nella Shopping Center parking lot. Being that there is a small hill while passing through Hi-Nella (between Somerdale and Stratford), they usually will allow drivers to go 10mph over but NOT during school months.
Warwick road By sterling High school
The road is Warwick road when going towards Somerdale from Laurel springs. The trap is set up in a variety of places but all within 100 feet of each other. The road has a hill and when you come to the top if you are going faster than the 35 mph poster you are done! The police sit in the Balloons parking lot, the shopping center covered by brush and in from the Somerdale Auto repair. BE CAREFUL!
