Hohokus, New Jersey Speed Traps
Post Office 30 N Franklin Tpk
At night around 8 or 9 o’ clock a cop will sit in a parallel parking spot in front of the post office with their lights off. If you don’t slam on the breaks as you’re going down the hill to the light it becomes a perfect opportunity for a cop to give you a ticket.
Sheridan Avenue near Ackerman Avenue
Driving north or south on Sheridan be aware the speed is 35MPH. Cops hang out at the Ackerman intersection… about half way between Route 17 and the Hollywood Ave traffic light. Keep your speed down on this stretch!
Hollywood Avenue near State Route 502 West
The police usually park in the entrance of the ball field across the street from the Elementary school as well as one block beyond in a side street heading West on 502. If you are coming East on 502 they are either at the curve toward the entrance to Route 17 North or at the very bottom of Hollywood Ave just before the stop sign. You must do 25 on that road.
Hollywood Avenue near State Route 17
Police sit in their cars near the entrance and exit to Route 17. With the unreasonable speed limit of 25 in the entire town of HoHoKus, that portion of Hollywood Avenue is a goldmine for fines.
