Jefferson, New Jersey Speed Traps

I’ve actually spotted one sitting on the grass at the top of the BIG hill before you get to Sparta on the northbound side, between the boulders. It’s all curb there. It’s been a long time since I’ve seen them there, maybe that’s why; but I always look when I pass it.

Same spot, just past, going south where the lanes come back together at the cut through. Also on the shoulders, north late at night so just as you clear the top of the hill, your toast; and south as you come up the first part of the turn and you crest to the little straight, they’ll be in the grass on the left or the shoulder on the right.

When you are traveling Southbound on Rt 15 coming from the Sparta area. As you enter the populated "township" area of Jefferson there is a spot on the right hand side of the highway where Police often hide. I would say 9 times out of 10 there is a Police officer hiding there, sometimes amongst the trees!

Because of the rash of recent accidents on 15 North due to road rage and recklessness, police are patrolling all of 15 North much more often during the evening rush hour. One day I saw three different cars pulled over within 5 minutes.

Sign on 15 South reads "FATAL ACCIDENT ZONE AHEAD Slow Down!" You should slow down there, that’s a great trap zone. They do not use continuous radar, so you won’t pick it up.
