Linwood, New Jersey Speed Traps
West side of New Road on Poplar Ave facing EHT
They sit on the side of poplar overlooking the patcong creek bridge. Drivers come from Egg Harbor Twp going 35mph and if they clock you coming over the short bridge above the speed limit (even under 5 over) they’ll get you.
State Route 9 near 2000 Shore Road Bldg.
The cops sit illegally on private property and hit you with radar in the late night hours, when there are no other cars on the road. The ridiculously slow speed limit of 35 is posted, even when the road is wide open, with no one else on it, at night!
US Highway 9
US-9 (New Road) is a favorite hangout for the city’s (marked but no light bar) white Crown Vic traffic unit, (Tango-5) and their black-and-whites as well. Linwood is a high-income, low crime area, so the cops spend considerable time on their shifts writing speeding tickets. Best to keep your speedometer needle right on the posted limit. Watch out for parking tickets, too — they hit you for $54 a pop.
Shore Road near VFW
They love to sit in the parking lot and nab people heading north or south. comming from the south theres a row of trees and you can’t see them but you can see the vfw sign. also shore road in general is where you are more likely yo get picked off. i suggest traveling on new road (rt 9), you can speed more on this road just watch out for the city police department
