Montgomery, New Jersey Speed Traps
Route 206
The entire stretch of route 206 in Montgomery Township is one long speedtrap. I commute home every day along it and everyday I see at least two police cruisers. The police seem nice and professional, but be aware of you try to dispute a ticket, the judge is (in my opinion) cantankerous. Bring a lawyer!
Harlingen Road – across from Montgomery Park
Frenquently cops are parked in the water treatment plant driveway across from the town park at the large bend in the road
On Sunset Road, right next to where you turn onto Elm Road.
There is a small area of land where the forest has been partially cleared. This allows a police cruiser to be unseen by motorists who are heading eastbound.
Mountainview County Route 518 Road near County Route 518
Police are often present between Burnt Hill Road and the intersection of Route 601 (Great Rd.). Speed drops from 45 to 35 as you pass a firehouse and approach an historic village with a church and school (25 when children are present). Daytime patrols have increased lately because of construction in the area, but vigorous enforcement is in effect after construction hours. Local police are looking to reduce speeds further once paving is completed.
Watch for police in side streets, firehouse, church, school and driveways.
