The East Orange Cops and Newark Police monitor this area in unmarked Chargers at the border of these two towns – and will even cross the borders to give out speeding or any type of ticket if your car is not in top notch shape. No decals, strict w/license plate covers, strict with inspection stickers – beware.
University Ave & Lackawanna Ave
Not a speed trap per say but NJ Transit Police will stop you for speeding but they are hidden there mostly to ensure you don’t eat or rush through a yellow light that allows the Light Rail Train to pass.
River Road near Belgrove Drive

NJ Turnpike near Exit Number 13-13A

Raymond Boulevard near University Avenue
Raymond Boulevard at University Avenue is zoned for 25 mph; however, it’s an uphill climb! It’s new impossible to do 25 mph going uphill and just as impossible to do 25 mph downhill into downtown Newark.
