Newark, New Jersey Speed Traps
intersection of central ave and passaic ave and clay st. bridge
ok as yourcoming from kearny into east newark you pass a shoprite on your left as you continue down the road you pass a gas station, go under an old train bridge and pass an old warehouse, where the old warehouse ends is the intersection of the clay st bridge and central ave and passaic ave. there are two lanes there : a straight and left turn lane and a right turn only lane, if you are going straight STAY IN THE LEFT LANE (its a 3 pt. ticket), usually there is a cop around the corner of the warehouse parked on the sidewalk with his lights off ( its impossible to see him unless you are past the intersection), if u go further down there is some kind of construction company with a small secluded driveway where they also hide. ILL GO AS FAR AS TO SAY THE WHOLE TOWN OF EAST NEWARK IS A SPEED TRAP, the town is only a mile long, but when i went to pay the ticket there were at least 200 people there
Raymond Blvd
Coming from Jersey City, right after entering the city of Newark. After the S curve where there is a 30mph speed plate warning, and before KFC, there is a cop right under the bridge. They used to be right in the parking lot of KFC but changed. By the time you see the bridge you’re probably getting clocked. There are no posted Speed Limit signs. They go by that speed plate on the curve sign. Sometimes they enforce during the lunch hour, too.
