Newfield, New Jersey Speed Traps
Catawba & Oakland Ave.
Coming Down Salem Ave. from Vineland into Newfield there is a slight bump where Salem Ave turns into Catawba Ave. right in front of Christ Community Church. The speed limit goes from 45 mph in Vineland and drops to 35mph right when you hit the bump. I was with my father when he was pulled over for doing 40 in a 35. The officer stated that he clocked him right at Oak Ave.
Catawba and North West Blvd.
This is a 4 way intersection with a 2 way stop light. Catwaba Ave. has a flashing yellow while North West Blvd. has a flashing red light. The cops hide back in the driveway of the old Municipal building at the corner or at the parking lot of TLC auto garage.
South East Boulevard near Lake Road
Off on the shoulder there is a stone covered rest stop, right after where the boulevard intersects(if you are coming from Malaga) with Lake rd. they hide either back under the trees or right in the open there. They have been praised in the Newspapers for their diligence in writing so many tickets for such a small town. I think patroling the town is more important than writing tickets for more petty offenses. They look for any reason to pull you over, not just speeding!
