Ocean, New Jersey Speed Traps
Grasmere Avenue near Main Street
If you’re heading east on Grasmere Ave. towards Main Street, you’ll more than likely see a cop parked on the grass by the bridge into Asbury. They nab people speeding from Asbury or going into Asbury and they are total sticklers too.
State Highway 18 near Seaview Mall
On Route 18, if you’re going North, just as you pass the former Seaview Mall on your right, you will cross over Route 66. About a half mile further, on the left, is a connection from the north side to the south side. Cops always sit there during the morning commute, but you can usually pick out the white cars amidst the trees if you are observant enough. Also, about a half mile further up the road, there is another connection, but this one is just dirt and is at the end of the line of trees. I have seen cops sit there as well, and there really is no way to see them in advance…
Corlies Rd. and Wickapecko
Late at night, in the womans club parking lot, there is a cop that sits all the way in the back, waitng for people driving down both wickapecko and down corlies. They sit in the back with there lights off and by the time you see them its too late.
Rte 35
Travelling late night 12-3 am on route 35 south (and sometimes north) between West Park Ave and Deal Rd. 9 out of 10 times there is a patrol car waiting in one of the shops facing traffic. For me, it’s a game to always find out where they are, because they’re always somewhere on that stretch. Look out!
