State Route 517/ Main Street near Borough border
Route 517 South’s speed limit is 50mph until you enter Ogdensburg. The speed limit then drops to 35mph. Cops are ALWAYS checking speeds and are VERY strict. I know someone who got a ticket for doing 36 in a 35. Northbound on 517 the speed limit drops from 50 to 40 then 35 and the cops are just as bad northbound.

going along 517 towards sparta there is always a small town cop sitting by the firehouse lot waiting for speeder (especially out of towners) the limit is 35 anything over 47 your toast.(watch out for a short stocky close cropped hair cut cop he gives no warnings)
