Pitman, New Jersey Speed Traps

One of the first speed traps I ever learned, Church of the Nazarene on Broadway in Pitman by the 7-11. Very popular spot for them to sit for either direction.

Police sit in the empty lot next to Salmon Signs and the condemned house across the street from the lake. They are trying to get speeders coming down Holly exiting town and also those coming down Cedar towards the lake. Thye will also move up Cedar, parking across the street from Walls School along side streets trying to get speeders along Cedar ave in either direction. I live on Poinsett and walk my dogs everyday. I see the cops all of the time as people do go above 25 on Cedar ave. careful!!

Cruisers sit on right at bottom of hill. Speed limit 40.

Police cruiser frequently parks on Cyrus Avenue, the first street to the left off North Broadway from the direction of the traffic light at Lambs Road. It is just out of sight to southbound traffic on North Broadway, where the speed limit drops from 50 mph to 25 mph when you pass the light southbound. By the time you see the cruiser, it is too late, and they do ticket!

If you are either going or coming into Pitman they will sit in the driveway or along Broadway in a white SUV-looking vehicle. If you are not driving below 30 (speed limit drops to 25 in town) you are in for a problem. We live there so we got a warning.
