Pitman, New Jersey Speed Traps

Be careful when coming north into Pitman from the contiguous town of Glassboro. The speed limit drops at the municipal line from 35 to 25, and the sign is obscured by trees. The cops like to sit in the parking lot of an old NAPA auto parts store and they’ll nail anyone they don’t recognize (see below). They’ll cut you a break and write you up for a non-moving violation for about $40 a pop, but they WILL write you up. Punch line: when I got nailed, I was driving my 1940 LaSalle.
