As you descend Thatcher’s Hill Road in Raritan Township the speed limit is 45 mph. You are on around a 45 degree descent and may find it hard to control your speed on this county highway. The second you enter Flemington boro, just at the bottom of the hill the speed limit immediatly drops to 25 mph. There is a cop car waiting either in the apartment complex on the north side of the road, or the cemetery on the south side. The local paper did a story on this speed trap and found that Flemington actually had hired a new police officer specifically for enforcing this speed trap. He does a good job of it too.
