Riverdale, New Jersey Speed Traps

Route 23 South approaching Riverdale is downhill. The speed limit lowers to 45 MPH at that point and a patrol car is usually at the bottom of the hill waiting for violators.

25 Mile Speed limit sign is easy to miss on this steep and curvy downhill. Police park near the top around a bend so you don’t see them until it’s too late.

Riverdale is one big friggen speed trap. THe Riverdale police are a bunch of road nazis.

If you are coming from Butler, once you get over the hill, and head toward 287N, you are toast. Slow it up to 40mph.

Going north on Route 287 just before Route 23 at the crest of the hill on the left side of the road is an unmarked vehicle. You won’t see the car til you go over the crest, and then it’s too late.
