Sunset Avenue near Wayland Avenue
Stop Sign: This is a fairly new set of stop signs placed on Sunset avenue since people scream hrough this 25mph curved intersection as a cut through from Bloomfield Avenue to Rt 23 (Pompton Tpke). Verona Police dept. hang back on Wayland Avenue about three houses in and you cannot see them as you approach the intersection of Sunset and Wayland. If you’re from out of town and don’t make a full stop, you’re toast. Take the long way around to 23 or Bloomfield ave…its cheaper!
Linden Avenue near Grove Avenue
VPD sets up anyware on Linden between Grove Ave and Pomten Ave(rt23), inforcment is done at all times of the day and there is a zero tolerance policy now in effect in Verona. if you go 26 mph you WILL get a ticket! the resedents complain constently about speeders so be carefull.
