Watchung, New Jersey Speed Traps

Watchung police stay in parking lot of bestlake park, check for speeding, illegal turns onto 531. There almost everyday. Cannot see them if coming from watchung circle.

While driving north on Watchung ave out of north plainfield, you cross into watchung near the triangle shopping center. the speed limit is 25 and most cars do 35-40… i just got a ticket the other day by some white-haired basket-ball gut guy that said i was doing 45 in a 25 on his radar… dam cops

Directly in front of the Watchung police department, there is a video camera posted up on a pole that records your speed, plate number etc. You will then get a citation in the mail w/ a pic of your car & at what speed you were clocked at. This gives the police the ability to get the volume in ticket up w/out having to pay an on-duty officer.

The area around the hgih school is heavily forested. However, there is an abonded space that possibly was a house. It is overgrown however, there is a cop that sits with only the radar gun on. No headlights, nothing. Extremely hard to know where he is if never seen them before
