Bethpage, New York Speed Traps

I was going around the traffic circle (seems to look like a skidpad which is the end of Bethpage parkway in Bethpage and I was going to the 135 (seaford Oyster bay) and was pulled over down the block for going 60mph around the traffic circle. I didn’t see the unmarked black SUV hiding

RED LIGHT CAMERAS. Sometimes you are forced through a yellow turning red as a result of being followed too close by car behind you. You then have to go to court to plead your case. Good luck on that. Your choice. Ticket or crash.
Recommend slowing down when you anticipating the light changing so the car behind you has time to stop.

1 – two cruisers are usually spooning at the northside of the plantings @ exit 8 Powell Ave, watching both N & S.
2 – third cruiser sits in the shadows at the South end of the median plantings in the ‘hammer lane’ watching the southbound side traffic as you pass x8 exit ramp . . bam! – gotcha !

In the median, just after the bushes N/B, radar cop usually sitting there. By the time you see him, it’s too late. Thank God for radar detectors!

There is an ancient Indian burial ground at exit 8 that splits the highway and provides remarkable foliage coverage for officers. The officers will also hide under overpasses throughout this 7 mile expressway. Brutal and Ruthless is the most accurate way to describe that situation.
