Broad Channel, New York Speed Traps

The speed zone changes three different times within a half mile. On the Cross Bay Bridge going towards Howard Beach the speed is 40 once you cross over the flushing toll plaza lights the speeds drops down to 30 instantly. On Nole Ave the speed is 25 until the last light BEFORE you get to the Call A Head company at which time its 30 once you cross that light After the Wild Life Center its 40.
Learned, that when the cop gave me a ticket for going 42 in a 30, which the cop stated I was going in the Call A head company area. When I stated the sign says 40, the cop say “nope not no more.”

Leaving the Rockaway Beach NYC area via Cross Bridge. Bridge speed limit is 40MPH. About 150 yards before the Toll Plaza speed limit drops to 10MPH.

This has been going on for years. The limit drops from 40 to 30 and the humorless cop suddenly appears. It’s like taking candy from a baby.

Patrol Car on the right after coming out of the 40 mph and going into 30mph there’s a turn and when you come out of it he’s right there and if your going 40 mph your going to get that speeding ticket
