Dryden, New York Speed Traps
Rt 13 , entire length while in the Town of Dryden
Many areas where Police sit, Gas stations, Fast Food places, driveways , Dinners etc….. they will write you for a couple miles above posted limit ( 30 MPH)
State Route 13 near Hilton Street
As the driver approaches the village of Dryden heading north on Route 13 the speed limit drops to 30mph at the bottom of a grade. A vehicle can easily accelerate well above the speed limit just descending the grade. The whole village is well patrolled, but especially where described.
Triphammer Road near Craft Road
Travelling South on Triphammer, all the way to Sheraton Drive – the speed limit goes from 55 to 40 to 30 in the space of about 1 mile. Police often monitor speeders while parked in any of the business parking lots on this route.
State Route 13 near State Route 38
The town of Dryden strictly enforces the 30MPH speed limit. I can’t say that is unreasonable, but they are very good at hiding and it is obviously more about revenue than safety. In the 1 miles stretch inside the village you should just obey the limit.
State Route 38 near Ferguson Road
Headed South on 38, leaving the Village of Dryden, the posted speed limit is 30 mph. It changes to 55 mph approximately 1/2 mile after the cross street, Ferguson Road. Police set up on either side of the road, and catch speeders in both directions.
