East Aurora, New York Speed Traps
Mill Rd just outside town
Marked car sits hidden on grass between the water treatment plant and the small tan concrete block building that houses a safety co, and an outdoor structures co. Will be on the left as you come around the curve to enter town, just up from the huge barn on the right which cant be missed. Obviously on the right as you leave town and travel down the hill just past the water treatment plant.
Center Rd. Across from EA High School at Ormsby Center
The cops like to set up their tax collection station in the BOCES Ormsby Center Parking Lot across from the East Aurora High School. The speed is reduced to 35 mph because of the school. However, the speed is always 35 mph, not just during school hours like normal areas. So look out at 1:30 AM on a Sunday in July, you better slow down you might get a ticket from a guy "protecting our children". Government at its best….
Route 20A near Elmwood
The police will set up radar in the driveway of the Moose Club. It allows them to catch vehicles entering the village from the East and to catch vehicles leaving the village above the 30 MPH limit.
Olean Road near South Street
at least once a month there will be an unmarked car in a driveway between South Street and Chestnut Hill Rd with pursuit cars waiting on chestnut hill or in the parking lots after south street. using stationary laser it is nearly impossible to get warning of this even as you drive by the laser car.
also southbound Olean Rd at the train bridge there will be a marked car where a white ford truck is parked and shooting radar at southbound traffic, not a good place to get stopped
and most cars travel 40+ in a 30mph.
Quaker Road near Gray Street
entering the village from 20A eastbound, the CARWASH parking lot has radar constant late nights and speed drops from 45 to 40 to 30 there so easily tickted for 38+ without seeing the waiting officer till youve passed it.
