Ellenville, New York Speed Traps

State Trooper checks speed in either direction just below the the bridge by the high intensity power lines. They tuck themselves back in the entrance to the parking areas below the bridge or in the driveway directly above it. The speed limit is 30MPH. Coming from Grahamsville it drops abruptly from 45MPH.

East of Ellenville on Rte. 209 you are in a rural area where you would expect a 55 MPH speed limit. Actually it’s 35-45 MPH for no good reason except to collect fines.

There is a cop standing by the speed limit sign where the 55mph ends and becomes village speed (30 mph) at least 6 people caught in the last 3 weeks including myself.
