Occasionally a squad car with the lights off is parked in the driveway waiting to pull you over for failing to make a complete stop, as my cousin found out. Always make a complete stop at that sign and do 20mph.

Sometimes in the night, a cop or 2 will sit in the driveway of the junior high school, but its easy to see them as they’ll have their headlights or side lights on. Usually they bust people who go more than 45, as the speed limit on Hempstead Tpke is 35mph in Elmont.
