Farnham, New York Speed Traps

They use NYS Police & Brant Police. They are brutal. Do 45 mph right at signs, otherwise you are fined. NO EXCEPTIONS. Then they fine for ANYTHING hanging from your mirror, tinted windows, seat belts, etc. They have been doing searches of vehicles as well. THEY TOW. THEY GIVE NO MERCY! Tickets are very high! They use binoculars, no turn arounds allowed. This is continual revenue for this dinky little town court. Don’t let this town get any of your money!

Most often set up for westbound traffic on Rt 5 just before the entrance to the Evangola state park. The speed drops from 55 to 45 mph and the Brant police set up just around a bend to the right so you can not see him until to late. The state police also like to set up a sticker check point just past the park enterence, mostly on weekend afternoons. So make sure your inspection and reg is up to date.
