Gowanda, New York Speed Traps

Going down 62 into Gowanda (where the VFW is) is a twisty downhill with a sharp grade and 35 mph speed limit. Cops will hang out in the small field off the side – the side opposite the McDonald’s that’s further down. They generally use a radar car and a chase car. I see them all the time during evening rush hour on weekdays. It’s very easy to speed on that stretch since the hill is pretty steep and you will not see them until you’re already snagged.

Just as you turn on Broadway its only 30. They sit in the empty lot on the left.
