Kirkland, New York Speed Traps

Village police sit in parking lots with radar. It’s easy to go too fast, it’s 4 lanes reduced from 55 to 45. 50 mph. and they’ll leave you alone. Just show some effort to slow down.

There is always a Kirkland police officer sitting on the east bound side of Rt 5 going from rt 233 towards Utica, usually hidden at night in the parking lots near some shops. Rt 5 goes from 55 near Rt 233 down to 40 in Kirkland, and that’s where the police sit and wait for unsuspecting drivers. I have been stopped here once myself.
