State Route 481 just outside city
In a new construction zone for the 481/Churchill Road intersection, State Police have set up in the ‘parking area’ across from St. Peter’s cemetery catching Northbound traffic. Another Trooper is placed South of the area on Dutch Ridge Road just off the South side of 481 behind the bushes. Observed twice today (7/9/15) between 10am and 12pm.
East 9th St. and rt. 104(E. Bridge St.)
Oswego city police sit in the Monro Muffler parking lot tagging westbound traffic just past the Price Chopper. It is a steep downhill drop and speed limit is 30mph. Usually seen late nights especially weekends.
Rt. 481 north of railroad tracks/Van Buren Dr.
After leaving Fulton going northbound on 481 and passing the railroad tracks, the road widens to 2 lanes for northbound traffic. The next few hundred feet is a long and wide yellow-marked median used by Oswego County Sheriffs and NYS troopers. Mostly targeting 481 southbound traffic, especially around rush hour traffic. Speed limit is 55 Mph.
East Seneca Street
Police have been seen near the four way stop on E 11th St. And E Seneca St….also on E Seneca St near George St. hiding in the parking lot at American Heritage. This is a 30 mph zone.
CR. RT. 4 (Hall road) past City Line Road
Going west on county route 4, police cars have been seen sitting at the bottom of the hill in the parking lot.
