Rochester, New York Speed Traps
390 Expressway near Vintage/Latta Avenue
The U-turn in between the Latta and Vintage exits. At night you cant see the trooper till your 20 ft away.
Rochester Inner Loop near Main Street
There are sets of bushes on the righthand side after the on-ramp from Main St. Police cars are there behind the bush.
You can’t see them until you are right on the side of the biggest bush, but they are tracking how fast the cars go by.
Bluff Drive Street near Despatch Street
The trap starts just north of the railroad bridge near the intersection of Bluff Dr and Despatch St. There is an industrial park on the east side of Bluff where the police wait. It’s very tempting to speed in that area because Bluff turns from a single lane street to a double lane.
Fairport Road near South Lincoln Road
East Rochester cops will sit along Fairport Road starting at the Lobster Trap all the way up to Papa Johns, and beyond there to the High School. They are there usually every night starting at 8.
Interstate 490 near Troup-Howell Bridge
Travelling WestBound on I-490 through the city of Rochester, the speed limit goes down to 40MPH! On an Interstate! The trooper sits on a grassy knoll on the right side of the highway, generally in a Camaro using an LTI Marksman 20-20 Laser gun. The biggest concern is that you cannot fight these tickets in court, you go to a DMV hearing where you will be found guilty with no discovery and no rights for those accused. Valentine + ZR3 + LaserVeil is the only defense.
