Schodack, New York Speed Traps
~1 mile East of Rt 20/Rt 9 Junction on Rt 20
Driving westbound on Route 20, be very careful of the winding hills before the intersection with Route 9 (Or eastbound just after the Rt 20/Rt 9 intersection). It’s very easy to gain some speed on these hills so be careful! Schodack and NYS Police stations are located just a mile away and police often sit in business driveways and hidden pullouts waiting to get you with their radar.
I-90 around mile marker 11.6 the Elliot Road overpass
Around mile marker 11.6, State Police cars sit in the median of I-90, concealed by the bridge support for the Elliot Road overpass. They are impossible to see from the northbound lane. From the southbound lane they can be seen as cars reach the top of an uphill climb, but by then it’s too late.

State Route 9J near Right after speed limit drops to 40 mph in both North and South directions
Police sit just over the crest of a hill in a driveway and pull over anyone over 40 mph just after the speed limit drops. You’re out in the middle of nowhere, so there appears to be no real reason for a 40 mph speed limit.
