Smithtown, New York Speed Traps

Have seen recently both marked and unmarked police cars along maple ave, most often near Brook Ct. running radar or laser. The limit is 30 mph. There is a park and ballfield in the area, they are not showing discretion!

Nissequogue police are equipped with radar on this stretch of 25A, they will hide in the parking lot of the Gulf station on the corner of 25A and Moriches Rd.. best to keep to the speed limit between Edgewood Ave and Moriches Rd.. these guys are brutal

Nissequoque police set up a check point at this location and check seat belts and speed, they are there at least once a month.

Westbound on route 25, Jericho tpke. There is a nice one mile or so stretch of 55 limit going thru Caleb Smith Park, but limit drops to 40 as you cross Old Willets/Plymouth and cops hang out in empty strip mall lots. they will ping you with laser if you go thru the green light at speed.
