Wappingers Falls, New York Speed Traps
Old Route 9 accross from Hess Station
This is a no stop for school bus trap on divided highway officer (name deleted)!
Traveling south you cannot see the bus, but no matter a huge ticket, and when I got mine this guy says to me, got 14 yesterday. He stops traffic in mass got 7 others with me. He seems to enjoy doing this. Not the kind of professional I want on the Job !!!!!
Clinton Street and Nelson Avenue
Not only is there a speed trap – 20 mph – and its not a school road, but you will also be stopped for not coming to a complete and full stop at the stop sign behind the cemetery. This is one stop sign there is no slow and roll. I’ve heard that officer wrote 193 tickets in three days. He sits there all the time pulling 2- 3 – 4 people over at a time. You go to court, pay your ticket and watch for next time.
New Hakensack Road as it emerges from Rt. 9
The speed limit is 30 MPH for about 200 yards. The cops hide behind a car wash on the right side of the road. I was stop for duing 32 MPH. The dumb cop stood in the middle of the road when he "warned" me about "speeding".
New Hackensack Road, Imperial Blvd to Route 9
There is a town police officer in an unmarked car sitting in a parking lot to the left of Imperial Blvd as you head to the stop sign intersection to New Hackensack Road. He will give you a “failure to stop at a stop sign” ticket if you do not come to a COMPLETE stop at the sign on Imperial Blvd. It’s 3 points on your license with 85$ “surcharge” as of this writing. It’s a technical “gotcha,” even if you made a safe stop at the sign with no traffic impeding you from going.
New Hackensack rd (by home depot/dunkin donuts plaza)
When you are driving on new hackensack rd (county rd 104) heading to route 9 the speed change from 40 to 30 and always there is enforcement waiting for you (hidden) on the plaza.
