Yonkers, New York Speed Traps
State Route 100 CPA near Burger King
An officer shoots Lidar from car parked in the Burger King parking lot (southbound Central Park Ave AKA service road for I-87). Second car gives the ticket. Speed limit is only 30 MPH, making this straight-away next to the NYS Thruway a natural high-speed zone. This is a new trap.
Saw Mill River Parkway near Executive Drive
Yonkers police sometimes sit in the driveway prior to the exit going northbound on the Saw Mill River Parkway
Bronx River Parkway near Exit Around 233rd Street
NYPD Cruiser with radar. About a mile down the road sits a black unmarked Dodge Charger waiting for you. Not really sure if this is still Yonkers (Westchester) or Bronx (NYC). Probably Bronx considering the NYPD car.
Bronx River Parkway near Cross County Parkway
Several cruisers will park on the grass. Each cruiser will monitor traffic from a different direction.
Bronx River Parkway near Exit Number East 223rd
Police tend to sit and wait at a divider right inbetween the North and South Lanes of the Parkway. Its difficult to see them because of the high curve you hit right before their hiding spot. Drive slowly around this area which is right past the 233rd exit on the Parkway and your run less of a risk of getting a hefty ticket.
