Charlotte, North Carolina Speed Traps
Sharon Amity between Monroe Rd and Randolf Rd
35 miles an hour, officers will frequently park in church parking lot. Seen many get pulled over and got a ticket myself. Bad.
Clarke Creek Parkway (in Highland Creek)
Just as you approach the golf course the speed limit drops unexpectedly from 35 mph to 25 mph. (I guess to protect the golf carts crossing the road) Very easy to get clocked at 20 mph over… Just saw Concord’s finest passing out tickets at night !! "Serve and Protect" ???
University city blvd. between I-85and Neal Rd.
They have been working this steet fairly heavily since University was opened through to Tryon. I go hit with a laser. It is a wide open divided road with a 45 MPH limit.
Norland Rd. off of Central Ave.
I was ticketed driving down this side street. A blue and white char-meck police car parked just beyond the yellow school cross sign with a radar gun in hand on a Fri, 10/29/10 at 4pm. "…@ a speed of 34 mph in a 25 mph school zone during posted hrs while school was in session (G.S. 20-141.1)". However, school was not in session and there is no posted sign indicating school hrs or speed. If you were a victim, please don’t pay the ticket, go to court and speak the truth!
Park Road
For the past 2 weeks, I have been noticing cop cars parked all up and down Park Road, between downtown & continuing to where Park splits into Johnston and on down Johnston to 485. One day, I counted 8 cars either waiting to pull someone or already had someone pulled.
